At Meditrust Diagnostics Limited, my design process focused on improving efficiency across patient registration, laboratory workflows, and administrative management. The goal was to create a seamless experience for receptionists, lab technicians, and administrators while reducing patient wait times.

The challenge

The existing system was inefficient. Receptionists struggled with logging consultations, managing payments, and printing receipts. Lab technicians had to manually handle samples and results, slowing their work. Administrators lacked a single platform for overseeing operations.

I began by mapping user journeys and identifying pain points through observation and interviews. Key priorities included simplifying navigation, improving patient flow, and enabling multiple user roles to work efficiently.

Receptionists

I designed a clean sidebar with only essential tools, making the interface easy to use for different staff members. Multiple active workstations were introduced so several receptionists could assist patients at once. I also added batch payments, allowing patients to pay for multiple tests in one step, reducing queues.

Lab technicians

I created a flexible results-entry system that adapts to different test formats. This replaced rigid tables and manual adjustments, helping technicians input results quickly and accurately.Overview page

Administrators

I delivered a unified dashboard where managers can monitor patient records, appointments, lab results, and financial data in one place. This improved decision-making and overall control of clinic operations.

This user-centered redesign turned Meditrust Diagnostics into a more efficient, patient-friendly, and well-managed healthcare provider.
